RAFAEL MARDONES DIAZ of Chile - Spruce top. 2009

This guitar is a dream to play. The fingerboard has a velvety feel to it, making fretting effortless.

Full bodied, very even sound throughout, the Engelman spruce giving it a slightly gentler tone than some spruce, but with plenty of volume to spare.

Rafael Mardones Diaz of Chile is one of the top luthiers working in South America today. His guitars are played by many top guitarists from

South America including Luis Orlandini of Chile and Carlos Groisman of Argentina. Rafael's father, an engineer, was one of the first people to make guitars in Chile and passed on his knowledge to Rafael to enable him to become a full time luthier.
