MICHAEL RITCHIE, Scotland Spruce/Indian 2022

A beautiful guitar from Michael Ritchie. The rubbed oil finish gives the guitar a very crisp, natural, woody tone. Unlike a French polish finish the oil is more absorbed into the wood rather than a layer on top. This finish is the closest a luthier can get to way the guitar would sound if the wood were unfinished.
As with all Michael's guitars the radiused fingerboard makes for ease of playing even with a professional action of 3.5 / 3.8.
Plenty of attack, sustain and dynamics is evidnce of the Granada tradional build favoured by Michael since his time apprenticed to a top Granada luthier nearly 20 years ago.
