CHRISTOPHER DEAN England Spruce 1986 Price 3,700

This early guitar from Christopher Dean was built in his own new workshop a couple of years after being apprenticed to Paul Fischer.
From such a young luthier at the time it is remarkable how the Christopher Dean signature sound is already evident. On playing this guitar one can see how Christopher went on to become one of the world's top luthiers with many professional concert players playing his guitars.
The guitar has been refinished by Christopher, new tuners fitted and a reworking of the frets and setup. The new setup makes the guitar easy to play and the slightly narrower nut adds to the ease. The sound is broad in tone and warm without any brittleness in the trebles. All notes play clearly throughout the dynamic range.
