With this guitar from Simon Ambridge's earlier period, it is evident that he would turn out to be one of the world's most saught after luthiers. The guitar is in very good condition. The French polish has been renewed and it has been refretted. The only marks are where a couple of dings have been well repaired. The guitar is very even over all registers, easy to play with a particularly sweet bass. Trebles are bright and fulsome. A joy to play.
