Just arrived and worth the wait. This is an astounding cedar top guitar. The power of the instrument is instantly apparent with crisp, forceful basses and trebles that ring out and sustain brilliantly.
A strong, powerful sound would not be a challenge for any accomplished player.
Mateo Crespi is one of today's top Argentinian luthiers.
A fine concert guitarist in his own right, Mateo began his studies at age five with lessons from Santiago Gomez and then took private lessons with guitarist Juanjo Domínguez.
After graduating from the Municipal Music Institute of Avellaneda, he took the post of Music Professor there.
For the first ten years of his performing and teaching career, he always had an interest in guitar construction, searching for that special Spanish sound.
He then decided to go full time as a luthier and can now count on such renowned players as Victor Villadangos and Ernesto Bitetti as his clients.
