Ignacio Fleta ( 1897 - 1977 ) was generally considered to be one of the foremost luthiers of the 20th century. He originally made violins and cellos and was inspired by Andres Segovia to make classical guitars. He made his first guitar for Segovia in 1957 and his first for John Williams in 1958. Thereafter he made guitars for many of the top professionals including Alirio Diaz, Marcelo Kayath and Carlos Bonell. This guitar we have for sale is in excellent condition for its age with only one minor repaired crack to the top. It being a spruce top it is a little more rare than the cedar top models that usually come up for sale. IGNACIO FLETA, Barcelona Spruce top 1958
