Colin Morison makes guitars on his family's farm in Angus, north east Scotland. From 199l, Colin studied classical guitar construction for 2 years at Anniesland College in Glasgow and then 2 years at the London School of Furniture Making under tutors David Witeman and David Rouse.

The guitar pictured here is a fine example of Colin's work. Colin's guitars are in the traditional Spanish mould but now having made around 140 guitars, there are many refinements of his own that give his guitars a distincly personal feel and sound.

With a top quality German spruce top, the player is immediately struck by the clarity of sound that Colin achieves. The guitar is very expressive with plenty of volume to spare. Strung with D'Addario hard tension strings, the method Colin uses to construct the tension in the spruce top means the left hand only needs a light touch making it considerably easier to play.

An immediately appealing guitar with lots of depth to be explored.
